Strive is a 21-day, porn-detox program offered by Covenant Eyes. The program is used through the web, and incorporates videos, lesson plans, and a thriving community of members to help men rid themselves of the temptation to view pornography. With this project, I was tasked with branding the company. Logo design, color palette choices, production, and artistic direction were many of the responsibilities I handled during the duration of this project. I did not design the site, but rather oversaw its development and stood as a liaison for branding decisions. Working seldom at times with other stakeholders involved with the brand, this project concluded with a newly design logo, branding strategy, and over 72 assets.
The logo itself was a tricky one, as the audience consisted of mainly male catholics. I wanted to avoid the cliche’ “Christian Imagery” used with a ton of company brand marks that have a religious affiliation, and make those nods more subtle than direct. I used a triangular shape as a subtle nod to the Holy Trinity, inspiration from super hero emblems to reinforce the masculine audience of the brand, and effective geometric strategy to make sure the co-branding effort with Covenant Eyes was seamless. If you refer below, you can view a bit of the rational that came to become the logo you now see, as well as some of the many accompanying assets that the brand uses to this day.
